VSF-Switzerland Coordinator in Chad (100%)

Your tasks

• Coordinate humanitarian and development projects, as well as the presence of VSF-Switzerland in Chad, and assume the administrative, legal and financial responsibilities of the organization in this country.

• Lead the development of the project portfolio in accordance with the overall strategy of VSF-Switzerland and be involved in fundraising.

• Develop and revise project documents such as concept notes, full proposals, reports and presentations.

• Ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of projects in an effective and efficient manner.

• Ensure professional communication with headquarters on the impact of VSF-Switzerland in Chad.

• Represent VSF-Switzerland to stakeholders at the national and international level.

• Manage, motivate and empower country office staff

Your profile

• University training in veterinary medicine or in a relevant field (e.g. agronomy) and additional training in management and finance.

• Solid practical experience in animal health, livestock farming (especially pastoralism) and agricultural production, and/or Chadian food systems.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in managing an NGO, with strong qualities in leadership, fundraising, project management, finance and human resources, and management of national partnerships.

• Strong in networking, negotiation and communication with multilateral, bilateral and private institutional donors, as well as a good knowledge of the donor landscape in Chad and Central Africa.

• Excellent command of Chadian Arabic, French with very good knowledge of English.

• Quick thinking, autonomy, flexibility and resistance to stress.

We offer

• A fixed-term contract, under Chadian law, full-time for 12 months (renewable subject to funding).
