PAC is an active NGO established in 2012, registered in Turkey, active in NWS, with other small operations offices in both Yemen and Sudan.

In NWS; PAC is a leading organization in both the health and Nutrition sectors through several central programs that work to improve the resilience of crisis-affected communities in NWS.

PAC’s programs always aimed to build and support the active health and nutrition systems in the target areas through maintaining a high level of integration across several sectors and leads central services to facilitate the provision of the service that other actors are running in NWS.

• Position: PSS Worker

• REPORTS TO: Project Manager

• PLACE OF WORK: NW Syria

• LANGUAGE: Arabic.

  • Position Overview:

Psychosocial support services for caregivers, pregnant and lactating women, and children who visit the nutrition centers (OTPs)

Main Responsibility and main support required:

  • Assessment of the psychosocial status of caregivers, pregnant and lactating women, and children.
  • Provide psychosocial support sessions for selected cases
  • Provide psychosocial support sessions for cases of violence and abuse in children
  • Offer group sessions and activities for women and children
  • Referral of complex cases to nearby protection centers
  • Assist other staff in dealing with cases of gender-based violence and abuse of children

Qualifications:

  • University degree in psychological counseling or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of experience in programs (Protection, Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence).
  • Two years of experience in humanitarian work.
  • Experience or training courses in dealing with children
  • Related Training Courses.
