Salary: Php 876,102.00 per annum net of taxes

Context

Under the overall supervision of the Chief, GSSC Finance Hub and under the direct supervision of the National Budget Support Officer, the Budget Support Associate will assist in maintaining and validating budget data in PRIMA and WAVE, in accordance with IOM rules, procedures, and established guidance.

The successful candidate will assist in monitoring budgetary controls, tolerance levels and budget utilization; assist with routine budget-related system and process issues; support monthly Staff Cost Allocation (SCA) and Common Cost Allocation (CCA) updates in PULSE and submissions to PPM; maintain related documentation; and assist with routine process improvements under the guidance of the National Budget Support Officer.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administrations, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
  • High school diploma with four (4) years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent, is an advantage.

Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in IOM administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, and internal control procedures is an advantage.
  • Experience using PRIMA and Oracle ERP systems is required.

SKILLS

  • Sound knowledge of IOM Financial Management Rules and Procedures (FMRP) and IOM Project Handbook.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly MS Excel and data management tools.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and
    maintain budget-related information.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work setup, demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and
    commitment.
