About Field Production

Field Production (FP) is a specialized media and communication company established in 2021 and headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. FP focuses on raising awareness, supporting peacebuilding, and amplifying the voices of conflict-affected and marginalized communities across the Middle East. Operating from Istanbul as a regional hub, FP implements projects across Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, and Libya, combining strong contextual understanding with international standards in media and communication.

FP provides integrated services such Media and Communication, Advocacy, Capacity Building, and Performing and Visual Arts. These include strategic communication and media campaign design, production of documentaries, short films, digital storytelling products, and social media content, as well as training and mentoring programmes for journalists, activists, and community media actors

Since our establishment, FP has successfully implemented more than 50 projects for humanitarian and development organizations including UNRWA, Expertise France, Terre des Hommes (TdH), and Oxfam as well as global media outlets such as CNN and the BBC. These collaborations reflect FP’s capacity to meet the compliance, quality, and ethical requirements of both international media institutions and donor-funded programmes.

Business Development Internship Role:

FP is looking for Business Development Interns (unpaid) to support the business development team with preparing bids, tenders, proposals, and concept notes for a variety of clients including I/NGOs, UN agencies, and other consulting institutions. The BD Intern will report to the Business Development Team Lead and the Head of the BD Unit to prepare bids and tenders covering a variety of topics under our media and communication services including videography and photography services, graphic and web design, training, implementing communication and media campaigns, and implementing strategic communication program. These proposals and bids will cover several countries such as Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, etc. FP has been working in these countries for the last 5 years and has implemented several projects and consultancy assignments.

What do we offer?

Though the internship may start as a non-paid, we offer you an opportunity to work with experts in this field where you will develop substantially in proposal writing, business development, communication and media, and understand different political and context settings of our countries of operation. Under the supervision of the Business Development Team Lead you will receive on-job training, coaching, and mentoring to develop your skills in business development, media, and communication in this sector. FP has a large internship program that aims to train and prepare interns for the market.

For this role, the potential intern(s) should have the following:

  • Advanced language skills in English are a must, as speaking and writing (Arabic is highly desirable but not a must)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field: media, journalism, graphic design, development studies, social sciences, MBA, international relations, etc. (desirable)
  • At least one year of experience in a related sector (desirable)
  • High communication and business development skills (must)
  • Strong research skills (desirable)
  • Strong writing and editorial skills for businesses development purposes
  • Experience in the Middle East and North Africa (desirable) or any other context
  • Have an excellent understanding of the development or humanitarian sector
  • Have an understanding of the political climate in the Middle East, particularly Yemen, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Design and market mapping skills (preferable)
  • Reporting and emailing skills
  • Willingness to learn
