CBM is developing a development project in the Far North region of Cameroon under the funding scheme entitled “Private Organizations” of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
For project planning and proposal preparation, a feasibility study design is necessary.
Objective of the feasibility study
The objective of the requested consultation is to assess the feasibility of a project proposed by CBM and the Union of Baptist Churches of Cameroon (UEBC) and to systematically verify to what extent the project’s approach can reasonably achieve the planned changes in the existing framework conditions.
The project is currently in the development phase and CBM is seeking to recruit a consultant to conduct a feasibility study to assess the viability of the proposed project and to systematically verify to what extent the project approach can reasonably achieve the planned changes in the existing framework conditions.
It must provide CBM and its partners with sufficient information on the project’s opportunities and risks, as well as concrete recommendations for improving the project concept. The study will be submitted to the BMZ along with the project proposal.
Initially, the study should provide an assessment of the following elements:
• Analysis of the situation and problems at the macro, meso and micro levels
• Evaluation of the local partner organization in the country concerned
• Analysis of target groups and key stakeholders at macro, meso and micro levels
To this end, we are looking for a team of consultants or an individual consultant to collect qualitative and quantitative data in the project region.

How to apply
The consultant or consulting firm must submit a technical and financial proposal including
- a description of the consulting firm, if applicable,
- the CV of the manager and proposed team members,
- an overview of the understanding of these specifications and the proposed methodology,
- a detailed work plan for the entire mission.
- The detailed budget for the planned mission must include all anticipated costs for conducting an inclusive and participatory disability study, as well as taxes in accordance with the rules and regulations of the consultants’ local tax authorities.
CBM reserves the right to terminate the contract if the agreed consultant(s) are not available at the start or during the assignment.
