📝 Job Description
Field Agents are responsible for collecting data from families, communities and local institutions through structured surveys administered using mobile devices (tablets or smartphones). These professionals play an essential role in ensuring the quality, reliability and integrity of data obtained in social studies, public program evaluations and participatory diagnostics.
🛠 Responsibilities
- Apply quantitative and qualitative surveys with digital tools (e.g.: KoboCollect, ODK, SurveyCTO);
- Conduct home interviews, institutional visits and field observations;
- Ensure informed consent, confidentiality and cultural respect during data collection;
- Communicate logistical or operational difficulties to the field supervisor;
- Participate in prior training sessions and regular debriefing meetings with the technical team;
- Complete forms accurately and submit data within established deadlines.
✅ Requirements
- Complete secondary education (higher education is an advantage);
- Previous experience in conducting field studies, censuses, sample surveys or community surveys;
- Working knowledge of digital collection platforms (Kobo, SurveyCTO, ODK, etc.);
- Fluency in Portuguese and oral command of Cape Verdean Creole;
- Active listening skills, empathy, punctuality and good communication;
- Availability to travel inter-island and work in remote locations, including rural areas.
