Who we are?
IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host community through 20 healthcare facility and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management
Location: Syria – Aleppo Office
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the Programs team in the planning and implementation of health projects and activities.
• Coordinate with field teams to follow up on the implementation of health activities against approved workplans, targets, and timelines.
• Support the development and review of health-related activity plans, tools, guidelines, and other project documents.
• Assist in monitoring health project indicators and compiling data received from field teams.
• Review health activity reports and supporting documentation submitted by field teams and provide feedback where required.
• Support the preparation of internal, donor, and coordination reports related to health activities.
• Maintain organized records of health project documents, activity reports, indicators, and other relevant information.
• Support coordination with health partners, clusters, authorities, and other relevant stakeholders as required.
• Assist in identifying implementation challenges and follow up with field teams on appropriate corrective actions.
• Support the procurement and management of health-related supplies and ensure that requests are aligned with project needs and approved budgets.
• Participate in project monitoring visits and provide technical and programmatic support to field teams when required.
• Support the preparation of proposals, concept notes, budgets, BoQs, and other documents related to health programming.
• Contribute to lessons learned, best practices, and program improvement initiatives.
• Ensure that health activities are implemented in line with organizational policies, donor requirements, relevant technical standards, and humanitarian principles.
• Perform other duties related to health programming as assigned by the supervisor.
-Strictly adhere to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in medicine or pharmacy.
• Fluency in Arabic and English
• Very good computer skills especially in MS Officer Programs.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills necessary.
• Understanding of community-based programming
• Strong communication skills
