Your Role at STOOS
STOOS invites recent graduates and undergraduate students to join its Projects team. Depending on your experience and goals, your role will involve:
- Assisting the Projects Team with management of ongoing projects, including tracking deliverables and facilitating internal and external communications and coordination.
What You’ll Do
Projects Intern Tasks
- Support with the team’s administrative needs, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, preparing and updating project folders.
- Assist the project management team in preparing documents such as work plans, project progress timelines, updating project trackers.
- With experience, oversee a small profile of projects independently including tracking deliverables, guiding consultants on company practices, problem solving, and facilitating internal coordination.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between clients, consultants, and internal team members.
- Support with research tasks when and if they are available including desk review, KIIs, and data analysis.
- Work alongside experienced professionals on a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Handle additional junior-level responsibilities as required.
What You’ll Need
General Requirements for the Project Management Intern:
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) – required.
- Strong editing and writing skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail and adaptability.
- Understanding of the development/humanitarian/social impact sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely.
- Strong time management skills for managing schedules independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in project management/relationship management oriented tasks in the development/humanitarian sector.
- Fluency in other languages spoken in STOOS’s operational regions (particularly – Arabic, Ukrainian, and French).
- Knowledge of M&E and primary research.
- Experience with GIS and/or PowerBI.
