Psychosocial support worker
Work location:
Jinderes – Shah Al-Deir – Basma Residential Village
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Providing psychological support to beneficiaries (women and girls) at the center
- Interviewing women and girls and providing psychosocial support in the form of
- Consultation, active listening, basic assessment, safety planning and follow-up
- Providing individual services to women and girls based on their needs and consent
- Providing psychosocial support in the form of counseling, active listening, baseline assessment, planning, safety and follow-up
- Identifying psychological problems and referring them to a specialist if needed
- Coordination with the case management worker regarding cases requiring more advanced services.
- Submitting reports to the field supervisor
- Contributing to the implementation of recreational activities for women and girls within the centers
- Participating with the outreach team in delivering introductory sessions, identifying and referring cases outside the centers, and providing services as needed.
- Basic requirements:
- University degree or diploma in psychology, social work, education, or any related field.
- Experience working with children, adolescents and adults in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
- Experience working with the host community and displaced persons.
- Organizational and time management skills, and the ability to design interactive activities.
