ALMACENISTA – MONAGAS BASE At Handicap International – Humanity & Inclusion

The Maturín-based Warehouse, applies effective storage management under your responsibility. He is the contact person of the supply logistics officer and, as such, informs him of the problems within his competence and proposes solutions. It is a key piece in the deployment and application of HI logistics standards.

Among the specific activities to be implemented, mention is made (non-exhaustive list):

  • Receive / dispatch products in the warehouse
  • Daily warehouse closure and precise stock controls
  • Conducts daily inspections and prepares reports on the quantity and quality of products received / cleared and handled; promptly detects discrepancies / damage to stocks and analyzes the reasons, investigates the reason for the missing amount and prepares reports on warehouse losses recommending appropriate solutions
  • Apply appropriate measures to safeguard food, in order to guarantee quality control using standard preventive measures in accordance with procedures
  • Prepare, verify and sign warehouse and transport documents; keep confidential files and exact records of warehouse transactions so that they can immediately account for product movements in accordance with institutional requirements.

The selected service provider must safeguard and keep confidential all the information to which it has access in the development of its contract, guaranteeing the data protection established by HI and WFP as a project financier. Likewise, it is committed to the obligatory fulfillment of the institutional policies of Safeguarding and Protection. The organization applies a zero tolerance policy against the exploitation, sexual abuse and mistreatment, in all its forms, of women, children and all other vulnerable people.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE AND TASKS

Mission 1: Participate in the drafting of the StratOP logistics section and implement its action plan

Directs inventory management activity by actively promoting HI policy and institutional guidelines and optimizing our resources;

  • RISKS: prepares and updates the risk summary of its area of responsibility and proposes and applies
  • corrective measures;
  • INCIDENTS: prepares incident reports for your area of responsibility;
  • INDICATORS: prepares and collects data for the inventory management scorecard.

Mission 2: Deploys HI standards and contributes to their expertise and responsibility within their purview:

RULES: guarantees compliance and application of HI standards throughout its professional field with regard to

  • politics, processes and tools;
  • LOCAL ADAPTATION: applies these standards to local conditions and regulations;
  • ACCOUNT RENDITION: guarantees compliance and application of internal regulations and institutional donor standards

Mission 3: Operational implementation of logistics

3.1 Design phase – Resource planning:

  • Helps define the material resources necessary to guarantee the viability of the project;
  • Participates in the structuring of the human resources involved in inventory management.

3.2 Launch Phase – Procurement Planning

  • Identifies the necessary resources to guarantee the proper functioning of the merchandise storage system during the duration of the project;

3.3 Execution phase – Coordination

  • Respects the terms established in the acquisition plans;
  • Evaluate and adjust resources and their distribution according to needs.

3.3 Closing phase

  • Participates in the return / donation of goods in stock;
  • Participates in the preparation of financial reports.

Mission 3: Facilitate the development of the Logistics profession and contribute to its development throughout the organization

  • Participates in facilitating the profession sector in its area or geographic area ( community of practice )

Mission 4: Responsibilities for emergency preparedness and response

  • Contributes to the emergency preparedness actions of the program and, during an emergency, adapts its work modality to contribute to the effective humanitarian response of HI.

PROFILE AND KNOWLEDGE

 Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Science, Master is an advantage or experience that can validate the university level
– A minimum of 1 year of experience in participation of social projects, ideally in social support for people with disabilities
– Demonstrable experience implemented NNA Protection projects
– Field work experience with an Organization without the Soul of Profit or (national or international).
– Desirable: knowledge of English
