The Project Communicator position will coordinate programmatically with the Project Manager; will respond institutionally to the AVSI representative in Peru and the LATAM General Coordinator

Aim of the position:

The objective of this TDR is to hire the figure of Project Communicator, based in the city of Lima (Peru), who will be responsible for leading the project communication component “Towards a future with equality, with better protection systems universal social and labor inclusion”, according to the internal guidelines of the financier and AVSI.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The functions of the Project Communicator position include, but are not limited to:
• Develop the Project communication strategy, in direct coordination with the AVSI Project Manager and the IILA Program Director, making the corresponding adjustments accordingly. to its progress;
• Design and execute the communication actions that are necessary to achieve the Project objectives, based on the existing communication strategy;
• Design and manage the graphic identity of the Project, according to institutional guidelines;
• Design strategies that allow generating or strengthening relationships with different actors that enhance the communication impact of the Project;
• Develop inter-institutional coordination and help generate strategic alliances in communication matters to achieve the goals and objectives of the Project;
• Design, coordinate and execute communication campaigns (virtual and in-person) in coordination with the Project team and the Communications area of ​​AVSI HQ and IILA;
• Be responsible for the design, production, printing, management and others of all communication materials and knowledge generation in the Project;
• Collaborate with the organization and execution of events, especially in the design of materials, communication pieces and all related communication activities;
• Ensure coverage of events relevant to the Project and AVSI;
• Carry out media dissemination activities of the main activities carried out by the Project, through the production of press releases, news, executive summaries, graphic and audiovisual production, and others;
• As needed, design and manage institutional and Project social networks;
• Monitor the scope/impact of the various Project activities on different channels (web platforms, media, social networks, etc.);
• Participate in the preparation of the communication section of the reports, according to institutional requirements;
• Present reports and means of verification of the activities under your responsibility;
• Provide assistance to the Project and AVSI team in specific communication demands;
• Carry out other necessary activities that contribute to the success of the Project.

Essential Requirements:

Education:
• Professional degree in Communication Sciences or similar. Specializations or postgraduate studies will be valued;

Work experience:
• Minimum proven experience of 05 years in the design and implementation of communication strategies, as well as in the production of communication resources for different target audiences. Experience working in NGOs and the public sector will be valued;

Language Proficiency:
• Fluent Spanish
• English language skills;

Required skills and experiences:

• Experience in institutional image, public relations and institutional advocacy actions;
• Proactivity, teamwork and time management;
• Planning, organization and results orientation;
• High capacity for reasoning, analysis and problem solving;
• Knowledge of the context and socioeconomic reality of the country;
• Excellent level of writing;
• Assertive communication and excellent interpersonal relationship skills at all levels;
• Mastery of the Windows environment and Office package (especially for designing). Management of virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Teams, Drive, others), social networks, computer programs to design communications pieces (Illustrator, Photoshop, among others), video editing and knowledge of photography;
• Preferably with knowledge of European Union communication manuals;
