Project management technician (H/M/X) project formulation, public and private financing, NGO At Plan International

Mission:
Under Area Management, collaborate in the implementation of the Business Development strategy, mainly in the development of projects and relationships with donors.
Main functions:
• Identify, design and implement project proposal development processes, including the creation of strategic consortia with a variety of strategic internal and external stakeholders, in the humanitarian aid and development sectors.
• Identify, build and maintain relationships with new and existing donors, including the EU, AECID, UN agencies, development banks, private social donors, etc.
• Assist in monitoring calls for proposals and identifying relevant funding opportunities.
• Ensure effective management of funding relationships with key institutional donors that support funding objectives.
• Ensure that the proposals formulated are in line with the administrative guidelines of the donors and the conformity of the documents presented (due diligence).
• Support Plan International’s Country Offices in actively seeking funding opportunities at the national level, together with regional offices.
• Development, design and needs assessment to ensure all new project opportunities are based on a robust needs analysis.
• Lead project proposal development processes, including the creation of strategic consortia with a variety of strategic internal and external stakeholders, in the humanitarian aid and development sectors.
• Ensure that all projects and strategies have a strong gender and inclusion focus, as well as digital (digital services in rural areas, women’s digital divide, etc.)
• Support for participation in the bidding process and other technical aspects in the implementation of programs with a “green approach”.

Requirements:

At least 4 years in a similar business development position within the third sector. Valuable field experience.
University training, valuable postgraduate training in cooperation and development.
English level C1 and intermediate level of French (B2)
Experience with multilateral and bilateral donors. Demonstrable previous experience in formulating proposals with AECID, EU (INTPA, NDICI) and Development Banks (WB, IDB, AfDB) will be positively valued.
Experience in Climate Change will be valued; Green skills-based livelihoods for youth and women; Gender and inclusion.
