Part-Time in GAN office or remotely

Job Purpose:

The social media specialist will oversee all the social media platforms of GAN, and contribute to enhancing the organization’s presence across these platforms, with the main responsibilities including managing the platforms, creating creative content, running ads, and interacting with the audience and followers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily activities of the organization’s social media platforms and networks, including posting, scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring performance.
• Develop a social media strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and values.
• Create interactive and engaging content for various social media platforms.
• Communicate with the internal teams in the organization to collect information and ideas for creating social media content.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of social media platforms using analytical tools and prepare regular reports on them.
• Assist in planning the activities and events that the organization conducts and are related to the organization’s effective presence on social media.
• Stay updated with the tools and trends relevant to the work of humanitarian organizations on social media and integrate them into the work plans.
• Run advertising campaigns to increase reach and fundraising.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or university student in any of the following fields: media, marketing, public relations, and communication, or any related field.
• Proven two years of experience as a social media manager, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms and their tools, analytics, and management practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Advanced skill in writing creative content in the proper Arabic language.
• Passionate about creating content and has a creative mindset and ability to develop engaging and persuasive content.
• Experience in running advertising campaigns through Facebook and Google (Meta Ads and Google Ads).
• Basic knowledge of WordPress.
• Basic knowledge of (Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Teams, Outlook, One Drive, Word, Excel)
