Overview of position:
Our clients supply chain reassurance plan is designed for the 31 high risk countries identified by headquarters, where mitigation measures should be implemented to reduce the risk of stock diversions & non compliant stock management of our food commodities by cooperating partners. The reassurance plan includes the implementation of the LESS last mile & physical inventories, among other activities.
The physical inventory should be conducted as frequently as necessary based on operational conditions to detect & prevent losses. An accurate inventory position is essential for the execution of operational plans. A monthly physical inventory, where all food stocks are counted & verified, should be conducted. The stock count should include the quantities of commodities in good condition, commodities that are damaged or in need of reconditioning, spoiled / unsound commodities & spillage / sweepings. On a monthly basis, a physical inventory count should be carried out at the end of each month, following our clients warehouse standards, to ensure that commodities are properly accounted for in all locations. The physical inventory should be promptly conducted once the cooperating partners’ distribution cycle is completed to reconcile the stock balance for all cooperating partner warehouses.

Role objectives:
Ensure accurate counting of food commodity items.
Verify the condition & location of inventory.
Record inventory counts in a systematic manner.
Identify & resolve discrepancies or errors in counts.
Maintain security & integrity of inventory during the count process.
Communicate effectively with team members & supervisors.
Follow established client procedures & protocols for the count exercise.
Report any issues faced during the count exercise.

Project reporting:
This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies:
High school diploma with 3 up to 5 years’ experience in managing warehouses with particular focus on physical inventories.
Excellent warehouse management skills, with a profound understanding of all warehouse management procedures.
Good communication skills & the ability to work in high pressure situations.
Working knowledge of English language & fluent in Ukrainian & Russian.

Team management:
This role has no team management responsibility.
