We are building a pool of experienced MEL Experts for potential consultancy engagements.

This initiative aims to identify qualified professionals who can be tapped for future projects as they arise. Experts in the pool will be considered for upcoming projects based on their expertise, availability, and the specific requirements of each project.

Job Description:

The MEL Expert is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems for projects or programmes. This role ensures that data-driven insights inform decision-making, and improve project effectiveness.

Job Qualifications/Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, International Development, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, preferably in international development or humanitarian contexts.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing MEL frameworks, logical frameworks, and theory of change models.
  • Proficiency with quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and analysis software.
  • Strong report writing, visualization, and communication skills to present complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with capacity building, training, and mentoring teams on MEL practices.
