Objective: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Strategic Philanthropy team as a Partnership Officer . The selected candidate will manage and strengthen strategic relationships with foundations and large corporations, with the primary goal of co-creating initiatives that generate a positive and measurable impact in the communities we work with.

Contract type: 12 months with possibility of insertion

Partnership Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with existing partners, focusing on foundations and large corporations, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Communicate effectively and transparently with colleagues across countries, paying attention to and appreciating different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • Expand AVSI Foundation’s contacts by actively seeking opportunities through scouting and participation in events, conferences, or meetings with potential partners or stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to develop strategic, high-impact projects that address the needs of local communities.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Political Science, Economics, International Relations, or similar.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international and/or humanitarian cooperation context.
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English (both spoken and written); knowledge of a third language is a plus.

Other requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a strong propensity for building and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Project design and management skills, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Interest and curiosity about geopolitical dynamics, humanitarian issues, and international cooperation.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment, with a strong results orientation.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary.
