Local Position, Full time; Project office in St. Lucia, occasional regional or international missions
Duration:
October 2025 until October 2026, with possibility for extension
Duties:
- Support coordination of project activities with national TVET authorities, training providers, and stakeholders in St. Lucia.
- Contribute to the identification of labour market qualification needs for green and blue sectors.
- Assist in the design and roll-out of new or updated training programmes, ensuring gender responsiveness and inclusion of vulnerable youth.
- Facilitate dialogue and partnerships between training institutions, employers, and government actors to strengthen TVET relevance.
- Support initiatives that enhance participation of young women and vulnerable groups in technical training programmes.
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge dissemination at the national level.
Profile requirements:
Qualifications
- University degree in Education, Human Resource Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of professional experience in vocational training, skills development, or labour market initiatives.
- Candidate must be a Citizen of St. Lucia or a resident holding a valid work permit for this country.
- Knowledge of TVET systems in the Caribbean and/or youth employment programmes is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
- Experience with gender-responsive or inclusive training approaches is desirable.
- Proven experience in multi-stakeholder coordination and regional cooperation.
- Commitment to promoting climate-resilient, sustainable, and inclusive development
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong teamplayer with excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Fluent written and oral knowledge of the English language, Spanish or French would be considered an asset.
- Gender competence desirable.
- Very good knowledge of ITC technologies (e.g. Ms. Office).
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed.
- Willingness to travel outside the region regularly.
- Valid driver’s license or willingness to acquire one.
