Protection Officer – Haiti/PAP At Diakonie disaster relief

  • The protection officer is responsible for:**-**To support DKH’s protection partners in the implementation, monitoring and reporting of protection activities in the project’s implementation areas and promote the strengthening of their capacity- Ensure high-quality implementation of protection activities in line with the requirements of DKH and its donorsImprove data management and project reporting with the support of the DKH MEAL expert.
  • MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Programmatic implementation (60%)
  • Assisted DKH’s implementation partners in planning and executing protection activities.
  • To guide and supervise the implementation of protection case management activities with an emphasis on technical aspects (needs assessment, individualized action plan, referral, follow-up, case closure, etc.).
  • Ensure, in coordination with DKH partners, that the survivor-centered approach is respected within the established referral circuit for the care of GBV survivors.
  • Ensure that the IASC international minimum standards and ECHO standards in case management and care activities are met.
  • Supported partners in strengthening community protection mechanisms in internally displaced persons sites and in communities affected by armed violence.
  • Ensured the updating of the service mapping and the referencing process in coordination with DKH’s protection partners.
  • Participate in coordination meetings (clusters, partners).
  • Conduct regular visits to the different intervention areas in order to monitor, provide technical support and ensure the quality of activities according to minimum standards.
  • Administrative management and reporting (30%)
  • Assisted DKH partners in collecting, analyzing and archiving case management data through the GBVIMS+ tool.
  • Support to partners in the production of activity reports following the cooperation framework with ECHO.
  • Monitor the project indicators and ensure proper use of the data collection tools put in place for this purpose in conjunction with the DKH monitoring and evaluation manager.
  • Ensure the quality and confidentiality of data.
  • Report promptly and accurately any difficulties encountered in implementing protection monitoring activities
  • Ensure that the visibility of protection projects is adapted to the requirements of DKH and the donor(s).
  • Provide support to the partner in the production of quality testimonials, photos, videos and other visibility tools in compliance with the consent of the beneficiaries and the rules of the donors.
  • Support the implementation of DKH’s CoP, Safeguarding, PSEA and CP policies at the partner project level.
  • Transverse and other tasks (10%)
  • Perform any other tasks necessary or assigned by the legal representative of DKH in Haiti;
  • In the event of a disaster, this position focuses on organizing immediate emergency aid with local partners.
  • Follow DKH’s instructions and security management framework in Haiti and report all observations and incidents to the HSS Coordinator.
