POSITION SUMMARY

The Site Manager is responsible for the daily management and implementation of the site’s organizational objectives. They drive the effective operation of Beit Karam programs and activities, upholding compliance, operational integrity, and a high standard of delivery. Working under the direction of the Regional Manager, the Site Manager plays a key role in advancing Karam’s growth and impact.

The Site Manager leads the team at the Aleppo site, including program, communications, and finance functions, and is accountable for the performance, coordination, and alignment of all site activities. While functional staff operate within a matrixed reporting structure to their respective functional leads, the Site Manager ensures strong integration, clear accountability, and consistent execution across all departments.

They build and sustain strong connections with the community, ensuring that all its members, including Syrians returning home, are represented and actively engaged in Beit Karam’s programs and initiatives. The Site Manager champions Karam’s mission, vision, and values in all operations and interactions, serving as a crucial link between program implementation and strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Programs and Activities

  • Ensure the implementation of Karam’s programs, activities, and initiatives led by the Aleppo office.
  • Monitor program delivery across teams to ensure quality and consistency with objectives.
  • Track program indicators and contribute to regular reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve coordination, efficiency, and participant experience across functions.
  • Promote learning, leadership development, and positive relationships among participants and staff.
  • Ensure that Beit Karam maintains a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants and visitors wherever it operates.
  • Cultivate and grow the Karam work culture in Beit Karam, consistent with our core values.

Outreach and Communication

  • Serve as a primary representative of the organization for activities led by the Aleppo office, including engagement with local authorities and community representatives, organizations, nonprofits, and NGO and UN leaders and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with communities and displaced people to support participation in, and feedback on, Karam’s programs.
  • Support outreach efforts that advance Karam’s mission and strengthen community trust and engagement.
  • Communicate with a voice and approach that reflect Karam’s values of authenticity, expertise, bravery, and generosity.

Operational and Cross-Functional Management

  • Oversee the site’s daily operations, ensuring that all activities are executed effectively and aligned with Karam’s priorities.
  • Provide leadership, coordination, and performance oversight across the site’s program, communications, and finance functions to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Ensure effective collaboration across teams by integrating site priorities with functional guidance from functional leads.
  • Implement organizational strategy into coordinated implementation, ensuring consistency and quality across all functions.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting to support accountability and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements, in coordination with the Regional Manager.

Financial and Human Resources Support

  • Oversee compliance with financial policies and procedures at the site, working closely with finance staff and central teams.
  • Review site financial activity and budget tracking to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with plans.
  • Support supervision and performance management of staff, including monitoring performance in coordination with functional managers, supporting team onboarding and development, and promoting a positive, respectful, and safe work environment
  • Provide structured feedback on performance evaluations of matrixed staff to ensure site-level accountability is reflected.
  • Support recruitment and staffing decisions in coordination with functional leads.

Job Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the site’s organizational goals and oversees the effective operation of Beit Karam’s programs and activities, ensuring adherence to standards, operational integrity, and high-quality execution. They report to the Regional Manager and play a pivotal role in fostering Beit Karam’s growth and expanding its impact.

The Site Manager leads the Aleppo site team, encompassing software, communications, and finance functions, and is responsible for the execution, coordination, and alignment of all site activities. Within a matrix management structure where employees report to their direct supervisors within their respective roles, the Site Manager ensures strong departmental integration, clear accountability, and consistent execution across all units.

The site manager also builds and strengthens strong relationships with the local community, ensuring the representation of all its members, including Syrians returning to their areas, and their active participation in Beit Karam’s programs and initiatives. The site manager embodies the association’s mission, vision, and values ​​in all operations and interactions and serves as a vital link between program implementation and the organization’s strategy.

Responsibilities

Programs and Activities

  • Ensuring the implementation of Karam’s programs, activities, and initiatives led by the Aleppo office.
  • Monitoring program implementation among teams to ensure quality and consistency with objectives
  • Monitoring program indicators and contributing to the preparation of periodic reports
  • Identifying opportunities to improve coordination, efficiency, and participant experience across different departments
  • Enhancing learning, developing leadership skills, and building positive relationships between participants and staff.
  • Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants and visitors
  • Developing a culture of generosity at Beit Karam in line with our core values.

Communication and awareness

  • Serving as the association’s lead representative in activities led by the Aleppo office, including liaising with local authorities, community representatives, non-profit organizations and institutions, NGO leaders, the United Nations, and stakeholders.
  • Building and strengthening relationships with displaced communities and individuals to support their participation in Karam programs and ensure feedback is received about them.
  • Supporting awareness efforts that promote the message of generosity and strengthen community trust and participation.
  • Communicating in a way that reflects Karam’s values ​​of authenticity, experience, courage, and generosity.

Operations management and coordination between departments

  • Overseeing the site’s daily operations and ensuring all activities are carried out effectively and in accordance with the priorities of the Beit Karam Association.
  • Providing leadership, coordination, and performance monitoring across program, communication, and finance functions to ensure consistency and accountability.
  • Ensuring effective collaboration between teams by integrating site priorities with technical guidance from function leaders
  • Implementing the association’s strategy and translating it into coordinated execution ensures consistency and quality across all programs and departments.
  • Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reporting that support transparency and accountability.
  • Ensuring compliance with the association’s policies and procedures and local regulatory requirements in coordination with the regional manager.

Financial support and human resources

  • Overseeing compliance with financial policies and procedures on site and working closely with finance staff and central teams.
  • Reviewing the financial activities on site and monitoring the budget to ensure accuracy, compliance, and conformity with approved plans.
  • Supporting the supervision and management of employee performance, including performance monitoring in coordination with program and department managers, supporting the integration and development of new employees, and fostering a positive work environment based on respect and safety.
  • Providing structured feedback on performance evaluations of employees with dual reporting to ensure accountability is reflected at the site level.
  • Supporting recruitment and hiring decisions in coordination with program and department leaders.
