How can you make a difference? Key functions / Responsibilities
The Organizational Development Officer will play an active role in the design, implementation and monitoring of strategies that strengthen the institutional structure, internal culture and functioning of the Venezuelan Red Cross (CRV) both at Headquarters and in its network of branches.
He/She will be in charge of:
- Coordinate the formulation, updating and implementation of internal policies, procedures, regulations and rules in the areas of human resources, volunteering and youth, governance, branch development, communications, information technology, infrastructure and transportation.
- Lead the support and technical contact with the various subsidiaries nationwide to assess their organizational capabilities, ensure compliance with institutional standards, and execute specific plans for their comprehensive strengthening.
- Supervise and design the selection processes, performance evaluation and career plans for paid staff and volunteers, as well as structure and deliver professional development training programs adapted to the needs of the organization.
- Design and promote initiatives to improve the organizational climate and culture, promoting the management of institutional change, alignment with CRV values ​​and the constructive resolution of internal conflicts.
- Develop and manage systems for collecting and analyzing data and key performance indicators (KPIs) on organizational performance, subsidiary development, and job satisfaction and volunteering indices, formulating data-based recommendations.
- Coordinate internal communication strategies and activities in conjunction with the relevant team to strengthen institutional identity, ensure timely dissemination of Headquarter guidelines, and increase staff commitment.
- Evaluate and monitor the improvements required in information technology systems, as well as supervise the efficient management of infrastructure and transport to ensure optimal logistical support in the operational activities of the CRV.
- Drafting management reports, performance statistics, and complex technical documents related to the evolution of the organizational development of the National Society.
- Other functions assigned by the Organizational Development Directorate and the Human Resources Directorate.
Report
The Organizational Development Officer will report directly to the Organizational Development Directorate.
Workplace
Caracas, with availability to travel to the different branches of the national territory when required.
To qualify as a builder of the Venezuelan humanitarian system, you must meet the following requirements:
- University degree
- Minimum experience of three (3) to four (4) years in human talent management positions, internal consulting, organizational development or technical-administrative processes.
- Advanced knowledge in the design of organizational structures, corporate/institutional governance, strategic planning and project management.
- Solid knowledge of labor regulations, volunteer management dynamics, and training methodologies.
- Advanced analytical and methodological skills for managing management indicators (organizational metrics) and databases.
- Excellent skills in assertive communication, facilitation of group dynamics, leadership and interpersonal relationship management.
- Demonstrated ability to draft executive reports and regulatory technical documents.
- Fluency in Spanish; intermediate or advanced knowledge of English will be highly valued.
- Unwavering commitment to the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
- High sense of confidentiality, professional ethics and institutional responsibility.
