Program Background
The Education Quality for Inclusive Prosperity (EQUIP) is a new Australian-funded program, implemented in the Philippines. EQUIP will support the Philippine Government’s efforts to strengthen senior secondary school education and ensure that senior secondary school learners have the skills to participate meaningfully in the labour force. EQUIP is a partnership between the Governments of Australia and the Philippines, EQUIP will contribute to Philippine Government-led education reforms, including the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) 5-Point Reform Agenda, which aims to harness the potential of young Filipinos.
EQUIP aims to support the Philippines’ inclusive economic growth ambitions by ensuring the labour force is well equipped with skills relevant to meet the needs of the country’s rapidly transforming economy. EQUIP aims to promote skills development in senior high school and enable a smooth transition to the labour force, whether immediately upon leaving school or after further education. It will also support Philippine Government agencies improve its policies and practices to support relevant skills pathways for senior secondary school learners.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Finance and Administration Coordinator provides comprehensive finance, procurement, administration, and operational support for the NCR Program by coordinating day‑to‑day regional expenditures, managing supplier accounts and invoice payments, monitoring cash flow and budgets, and ensuring accurate financial records and timely acquittals. The role also supports travel expense processing and logistics, maintains electronic filing and asset records, manages office supplies, and assists with regional procurement activities. In addition, it contributes to program reporting and information systems, supports the integration of cross‑cutting priorities such as GEDSI, safeguards, climate change, localisation, and MERL, upholds fraud management and compliance standards, and undertakes other finance and administrative tasks as required by program leadership.

About You
Essential Experience and Knowledge
- Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in a similar role.
- Experience in finance and procurement systems and processes in development programs.
- Strong written and verbal English language skills.
- High level of computing skills, and advanced in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs (such as Word and SharePoint).
- Experience in financial management, basic accounting or bookkeeping.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience liaising with a range of partners, stakeholders and vendors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of finance and administration principles including value for money.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with attention to detail and an ability to work independently to complete tasks.
- Experience in and commitment to applying GEDSI and safeguards principles.
