Health Promotion Supervisor In St. Marc (Artibonite) At Doctors Without Borders

With the support and guidance of the HPCE (Health Promotion and Community Engagement) Manager, responsible for implementing the HPCE strategy/work plan, with community participation, and for supervising HPCE activities and HP teams working in communities or health facilities, in accordance with project objectives, MSF values, standards and procedures.

  • To actively contribute to the design and adaptation of the HPCE’s strategy and work plan.
  • Direct and monitor the implementation of the HPCE strategy and work plan, in accordance with the timeline.
  • Support participatory approaches and regular consultations with patients/communities before and during the implementation of the HPCE strategy.
  • Support for the design of health education materials and participatory methods, by applying the appropriate process (pre-testing, content validation, translation).
  • Contribute to rapid assessments and investigations.
  • Actively support the systematic collection, encoding, and communication of community feedback and rumors.
  • Support the implementation of community surveillance (data collection, active case finding, tracing, liaison with healthcare).
  • Responsible for the planning and organization of community meetings (in collaboration with the HPCE director).
  • Contribute to the mapping of the community.
  • Monitoring: Ensuring the availability of data collection tools, data encoding in the database and quality control.
  • Monitoring: Contribute to the analysis of monitoring data and seek adjustments (in collaboration with the HPCE manager), monthly reports (MMR, sitrep,…).

Team management:

  • Contribute to the evaluation of the HP team (with the HPCE manager).
  • Contribute to the HP team’s development plan.
  • Training: Contribute to the assessment of needs, design and implementation of training for the HP team, in collaboration with the HPCE manager.
  • Organize regular and systematic supervision of HP activities and provide on-the-job training.
  • Ensure the planning and practical organization of the activities of the HP team (HP roaster).

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social work, public health, community health, or nursing.

Experience: Essential: At least 2 years of experience in: • health promotion • team management. Experience with qualitative methodology is highly desirable.

Languages : Creole and French

Knowledge: Basic skills in Word and Excel are essential.
