Mission :

Under the supervision of the Deputy Advocacy Director, your mission will be to define, develop, and coordinate Action Against Hunger’s (ACF) advocacy strategy with European decision-makers, particularly regarding humanitarian policies (75%), and to raise the organization’s profile with institutional stakeholders (25%).
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Defining, developing, and deploying ACF’s advocacy strategy at the European level;
Implementing the European Union’s advocacy strategy;
Supporting advocacy efforts with country offices and populations in crisis (supporting regional/national/international Advocacy Officers, as needed);
Contributing to ACF France’s overall advocacy strategy to integrate European issues across all areas of focus.
You will manage one Advocacy Project Officer.

Profile :

You have a proven track record in defining and implementing training tools, monitoring advocacy programs, developing communication and campaign methods, and creating project facilitation tools.
You are capable of managing a team, defining the optimal level of collective efficiency with your colleagues, uniting them around a common goal, making difficult decisions and communicating them effectively to your team, and prioritizing simple and accessible solutions for everyone, depending on the situation.
A good listener, you can adapt your communication style and build trust with your interlocutors. Autonomous and organized, you know how to manage priorities and take initiative in your work.
You have skills in negotiation, public speaking, and document writing. You enjoy teamwork.
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Employment conditions

Fixed-term contract of 3 weeks until 13/05/2026 with possibility of extension.
Location: Brussels.
Remuneration: Category: Advisor.
Grade range: I to III.
From €51,000 to €55,000 gross per year over 13 months depending on experience.
Benefits: 10 additional days of leave (based on 12 months)

Remote work: 3 days of mandatory on-site presence for this position, outside of scheduled team meetings.
Special conditions: field travel.
