Following the earthquakes that severely struck Venezuela on 24/06/2026, AeA is seeking to reinforce its team on the ground to support the activation of an emergency response in the areas most affected by the earthquakes.
Aim:
The Information and Communication Management Officer will be responsible for designing, organizing and implementing the foundations of the information management system generated by AeA and its partners/counterparts, ensuring that the data generated by the projects and program areas are consistent, reliable, accessible and useful for management, monitoring, decision making and dissemination (in coordination with the AeA Headquarters Communication Department).
Responsibilities:
The role will have both a technical and practical focus, aimed at organizing existing information, creating user-friendly tools, and strengthening internal data management capabilities. The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Design and implement a basic institutional information management system, in coordination with the Program Director, aligned with operational and programmatic needs.
- Map and organize existing information sources (projects, programs, databases, reports), identifying gaps, duplications, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and standardize formats, templates, and tools for data collection, organization, and storage (databases, tracking matrices, simple dashboards, among others).
- Support project and program teams in the design of data collection tools.
- Ensure the correct consolidation and cleaning of data from projects and field activities.
- Support the production of basic descriptive analyses (tables, graphs, summaries) to report progress, coverage, and results of interventions.
- Support the production of communication material, advised by the AeA Communication Department, to report on progress, coverage and results of the interventions.
- Develop information products (dashboards, internal infographics, project fact sheets), according to the priorities defined with the Program Management.
- To ensure the correct implementation of the guidelines for the protection, confidentiality and ethical use of information, in coordination with the institutional protection and safeguarding policies.
- Provide technical support to teams and volunteers in the use of information collection and management tools.
- Support the preparation of inputs for internal and external reports, including donor reports, status reports, and communication products.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by your immediate supervisor, based on institutional needs.
Requirements
Knowledge and experience:
- University degree in relevant areas such as statistics, engineering, systems, social sciences, geography, public health, administration or other related fields.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in information management, data analysis, project monitoring or similar functions in humanitarian, social or development contexts.
- Experience in using data management and analysis tools, including intermediate or advanced Excel, simple databases, and digital collection tools (e.g., Kobo or other similar platforms).
- Functional knowledge or prior experience in data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other equivalent tools, for the creation of dashboards, graphs and information products.
- Ability to organize, clean and structure large volumes of information in a clear and systematic way.
- Ability to translate technical data and analysis into understandable and useful information for non-technical teams.
- Desirable prior experience in humanitarian organizations, NGOs or others.
- Excellent organizational skills, rigor and precision.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Very good knowledge of relations with public administration.

Terms of the offer:
- Start date: immediate
- Contract duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension depending on available funding
